Decatur, AL -

Santa and his elves were hard at work and for some children in Decatur.

Tracey and Aubrey Lott received their gift one day early. And it's something they have been wanting for the last three years.

Tracey Lott, 5, has only a few things on her Christmas list this year.

"I want an iPod, a DS and my Daddy," she said.

Monday afternoon, Tracey and her 2-year-old sister, Aubrey, sat on Santa's lap and their wish came true. Her father, Technical Sgt. Jonathan Lott, surprised them at Decatur Mall. Tech Sgt. Lott has spent his time in Germany serving our country with the Air Force.  An emotional Lott said this family gathering was long overdue.

"No words can describe it," he said. "It's pretty amazing."

Mom Katie Lott said it was hard to keep the secret from her children.

"My 5-year-old has been telling me daily that she wishes the military would let daddy come home for Christmas," she said. "I'm looking forward to actually having him in the living room instead of on the computer."

Tech Sgt. Lott will be home for the next two or three weeks. After that, he's moving to Florida. And in June, the girls are moving down there so they can be together again.
