MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The
Alabama unemployment rate fell for the third month in a row.
Alabama's
unemployment rate for November was 7.5 percent, down .6 percent from October.
The
rate is also below the national average of 7.7 percent.
"We're
going to continue on the same path of working hard every day to recruit and
attract more jobs for this state," said Governor Bentley.
The
counties with the lowest unemployment were Shelby with 4.6 percent, Lee and
Madison with 5.6 percent and St. Clair, Coffee, Blount and Limestone with 5.7
percent.
The
counties with the highest unemployment were Wilcox with 15.9 percent, Bullock
with 14.1 percent and Dallas with 13.2 percent.
