HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
The Huntsville City Council approved a water rate increase Thursday night, that was requested by Huntsville Utilities.
The average customer would pay about $3.19 more per month starting next month.
Over four years, that would go up to around $9.71 more per month.
These rate increases would help to pay for a new $100 million water treatment center.
