SHEFFIELD, AL (WAFF) -
A home on 34th Street in Sheffield was heavily damaged by a falling tree Thursday.
A tree in the backyard fell on the house as high winds whipped through the area.
The homeowner, a man in his late 40's, was inside when the tree fell. He was lounging on a couch in the only part of the house left standing. He wasn't injured.
