HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
The
Huntsville City Council is expected to approve a water rate hike request from
Huntsville Utilities at Thursday's meeting.
The
hike would actually be a series of increases over four years. The first
increase would take effect January 1.
If
passed, customers would see an increase of $9.71 a month over four years.
The
increase is intended to help pay for a new water treatment center.
