Water rates are rising in western Madison County.
Officials from the Harvest - Monrovia Water Authority announced a hike in prices Tuesday morning.
The average customer will see their water bill jump by about $4.37.
Meanwhile, sewer fees will go up an additional $3. That doesn't apply to customers with septic tank.
The extra money will help fund a new 300-million gallon holding tank for the utility.
