HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville Hospital's emergency room employees paid it forward after hearing about the tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut.
The ER staff pooled their money and sent pizza to the Danbury Hospital emergency room. That's the hospital where three patients from the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting were transported and two of them died Friday.
On Danbury Hospital's Facebook page, they posted a thank you status to Huntsville Hospital workers.
Huntsville Hospital's ER received a similar gift in 2006 following the Lee High School bus crash. Four students died in that crash, and dozens more were treated in Huntsville emergency rooms.
