MADISON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

More scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible as we go into the afternoon and early evening hours. Temperatures will remain in the 60s today and this evening.
On Monday there will be a few more showers and thunderstorms possible but no severe weather is expected. Afternoon highs on Monday will be in the middle to upper 60s.
Cooler weather will move in Tuesday but it won't be cool very long. A developing storm system will cross the Rocky Mountains Late Tuesday into Wednesday. Ahead of this system the low level moisture and warm air will return to the Tennessee Valley quickly on Wednesday. Temperatures will warm back into the middle 60s Wednesday afternoon.
It will get breezy late Wednesday evening as the cold front gets closer. Ahead of the front a line of strong to severe thunderstorms will develop. The main threat will be damaging winds. Right now it looks like this line will move in early Thursday morning. The exact timing and strength will likely change so keep checking back for updates.
Temperatures will turn much colder Friday behind the cold front.
