Limestone County deputies transported Joel Moyers to the Limestone County jail Thursday afternoon.
Moyers is charged with capital murder for the September 29 shooting death of Brandon Hydrick.
Moyers has been in a Cullman hospital since overdosing after learning about his indictment nearly a week ago. The 52-year-old was living with his mother in Cullman as part of his bond agreement.
His bond was revoked with the capital murder indictment.
According to court documents, Moyers used a Norinco SKS 7.62 rifle to shoot at Hydrick and his brother who were driving on Fennell Road on their way home from a bonfire in Limestone County.
The bullet went through the cab of the truck, striking Hydrick in the back. He died at the scene.
Moyers was booked into the jail without bond. A trial date hasn't been set.
