BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Baton Rouge Police arrested two suspects who are accused of entering the
Hi-Life Wonderland smoke shop around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
Reports say one was armed with a shotgun and the other had a handgun, both
were wearing masks. The suspects robbed the store of cash and property and left
in a white Acura.
Police say a witness saw the suspects fleeing and followed them can called
police. The witness lost the vehicle around Evangeline and I-110. A few minutes
later, 4th District patrol officers spotted the vehicle in the 5900 block of
Airline Highway and stopped it.
Officers took both suspects into custody and recovered evidence from the car
that was related to the crime.
Darren Douglas Brown, 19 and Christian Rashad Lamotte, 22, were both booked
into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with armed robbery.
