Source:USA Today SportsJohnny Football can now be called Johnny Heisman. Johnny Manziel from Texas A&M becomes the first freshman to win college football's top honor. Manziel beat out Notre Dame linebacker Manti T'eo and Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein who finished second and third respectively.
Manziel shattered the college football record books throwing for 3,419 yards and 24 touchdowns and running for 1,181 yards and 19 more scores to become the first freshman, first SEC player and fifth player to throw for 3,000 yards and run for 1,000 in a season.
Manziel and Texas A&M will face Oklahoma January 4th in the Cotton Bowl.
