NEW HOPE, AL (WAFF) -
One man was killed, and two more were injured in a shooting at a New Hope home Friday night.
Madison County Sheriff's deputies were called to 4316 Old Highway 431 in New Hope around 9:30 p.m. They found three victims who were shot.
Two victims were taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Joel Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said there was a party at the home before the incident. There was a verbal altercation, and 23-year-old Tim Goldsmith left the home, and returned with a weapon.
After the shooting, deputies were able to track down Goldsmith in the parking lot of a Huntsville apartment complex, and he was taken into custody without incident.
He's charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder and booked in jail on $195,000 bond.
Madison County Sheriff's deputies continue to investigate.
