HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities are searching for the former renter of a Huntsville apartment after two pipe bombs were discovered on Thursday evening.

The ATF sent the pipe bombs to Atlanta to be analyzed.

The Imperial Gardens Apartment manager said a maintenance crew discovered the pipe bombs while cleaning the vacated apartment.

The manager said the previous renter's lease ran out, and believes the previous renter didn't want to cause harm to the community.

Huntsville Police diffused the two pipe bombs around 6 p.m. on Thursday.

The apartment manager said the bombs were made with PVC pipe and stuffed with gun powder.

Authorities have not released a description of the people they are looking for at this time.
