Police are revealing more details in a Phenix City theft case that led to firing of 4 city park workers.
Phenix City Police Chief Ray Smith says the workers are accused of using city equipment to take care of their personal yards and property.
Smith tells the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer (http://bit.ly/SCTVpj) that public corruption charges may be presented to a grand jury.
City officials have said the investigation began Nov. 26, after City Manager Wallace Hunter received a complaint. Authorities declined to identify the fired employees.
Phenix City is about 85 miles east of Montgomery, just across the Chattahoochee River from Columbus, Ga.
