MINEOLA, TX (KLTV) -
A person in their mid-60s and a child under ten are being transported to East Texas Medical Center in critical condition following an accident just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
According to the Mineola Police Department, the accident happened on US-69 near CR 2220 north of Mineola. ETMC confirms two helicopters, one from Tyler and one from Mt. Pleasant, are being brought in to transport the victims.
Highway 69 is being closed north of Mineola to allow the helicopters to land.
