HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Madison County woman has a preliminary hearing on December 19 for child abuse charges.
Huntsville Police say Norma Garcia left her three small children locked in a bedroom at a home on Eunice Street.
Court documents state the children are ages 2, 3 and 5. Those documents also state the bedroom door was tied shut and the children had no access to food or a bathroom.
Police say the children showed signs of severe abuse and malnourishment.
Jose Vargas is also charged in this case. A hearing date has not been set for Vargas.
