ATHENS, AL (AP) -
Regulators have cleared TVA's Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant of 3 minor safety violations.
The Decatur Daily reports the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the ruling at a public meeting Wednesday.
1 of the violations was
related to plant worker training on shutdown procedures. Two others
concerned an injection system that was out of service longer than
planned.
Eugene Guthrie of the NRC
says regulators concluded that Tennessee Valley Authority workers
understood the problems and took the appropriate actions.
The plant is still under a more serious safety finding linked to a stuck valve in an emergency cooling system.
