Gadsden Police are investigating a pair of shootings this week.

On Monday night, a man went to his back yard on the 1100 block of Stillman Avenue to get a leaf blower when he saw two unknown men standing on his property. One of the men opened fire at the homeowner. He ran back inside his home, got a rifle and returned fire. The suspects fled, and it appears as though no one was hurt. The investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday night, a man was shot during an argument on the 1600 block of Harlem Avenue. The victim was hit once in the arm, and was taken to Gadsden Regional Hospital. He was later transferred to UAB. Police arrested 57 year old Frankie Huntley at the scene. He's being held in the Etowah County Jail, awaiting charges and bond.
