KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville continued to be ranked as the No. 4 team in the country in the latest NABC/Division II Coaches Poll that was released on Tuesday.
The Chargers have been in the top-five for seven straight releases, and the team has been nationally-ranked for 33 consecutive polls.
West Liberty captured 12 first-place votes to maintain the No. 1 position as none of the top-five changed from a week ago. Washburn and Metro State hold the second and third positions, respectively, while Bellarmine follows UAH at No. 5.
Each team in the top-five received a first-place vote.
Other Gulf South Conference representatives in the rankings included Christian Brothers who slipped to No. 19 after picking up its first loss of the season and undefeated North Alabama appeared in the poll at No. 23.
South Region institutions Benedict, Tampa, and Florida Southern all received votes.
The Chargers will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tenn. for a 4 p.m. contest.
