HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A huge development project is one step closer to becoming a reality.
Developers broke ground on the $85-million project on the former Council Courts Public House site in downtown Huntsville.
The center will be called Twickenham Square.
The site will include a hotel, a Publix grocery store, a restaurant, and other retail shops.
Developers said they're excited about bringing new businesses to downtown Huntsville.
The city has agreed to spend more than $9-million on a four-story parking garage serving the new development.
