MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Emergency crews responded to the scene of a fatal wreck at the base of Brindlee Mountain on Highway 231.
Troopers said 25-year-old Theresa Machado's vehicle collided with another vehicle. The wreck caused one of the vehicles to go into the embankment.
Machado was declared dead at the scene. Two people in the other vehicle were also injured.
State Troopers had to shut down the road to investigate.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
