Copper stolen from Mountain View Restaurant

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Police are trying to track down a copper thief after restaurant workers discovered the theft.

Huntsville Police said at least one person stripped the copper out of both the inside and the outside of the building of the Mountain View Restaurant on Highway 431.

Huntsville Police said they are investigating but have not released how much copper is missing. They said there is damage to both the inside and the outside of the building.

It is unknown whether or not the business is still open.
