DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A Decatur man is spending his birthday in jail.
On November 30, a police observed a Chrysler Sebring traveling on 19th Avenue from Enolam Blvd. with no head lights on.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and appeared to be trying to hide or stuff something between the seats. The officer stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Locust and 18th Ave.
The driver later identified as 35-year-old Donald Brown gave the officer a fake name. Brown had a revoked driver's license and was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest for giving false information and DUI. Investigators located a quantity of cocaine and an open alcoholic beverage can in the vehicle.
Brown faces multiple charges and was booked in the Morgan County Jail.
