The Enterprise Police Department is investigating after responded to a daycare Thursday after parents notified them that they couldn't find their child.
Officers were sent to the Step by Step Day Care. The parents arrived at the day care to pick their child up and discovered the facility was closed.
The parents said they were not told that the would close early. Officers attempted to contact the business's key holders but were unsuccessful.
Officers on scene heard a child inside the day care and breached the door. It was then that the officers located the infant inside a crib in the day care.
The child, unharmed, was returned to the parents.
