LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
Livingston Parish Sheriff's
Deputies are helping others recognize a big need in their community. You will
see them outside of Bass Pro, WalMart and Sam's Club, greeting customers and
asking for donations.
The toys and money you
donate help them make Christmas possible for hundreds of children in Livingston
Parish. This year is especially important for families who lost so much during
Hurricane Isaac.
"There's going to be a lot
of children, families that can't afford to get anything for their children and
that's what we're here for to make sure everybody has something," said Cpl. Jeb
Glascock with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.
Deputies will be
collecting your generous donations through December 8, 2012.
You can donate at the
WalMart locations in Walker, Denham Springs and Watson locations, as well as
Bass Pro Shops and Sam's Club in Denham Springs.
They will be accepting
donations Saturday, December 1, 2012, Thursday, December 6 through Saturday
December 8, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day.
Donations can be mailed to
Sheriff Jason Ard's Christmas Crusade, P.O. Box 1515, Livingston, LA, 70754.
