Gadsden Police officers say they've taken three dangerous men off the streets.
On Thursday morning, a cash advance store on West Meighan Boulevard was robbed. Investigators say an armed man pointed a gun at employees and demanded money. A short time later, detectives reviewed the surveillance video from the store and identified the man as Terry Benford. Benford was soon found and taken into custody. He's being held on $100,000 bond.
About twelve hours after that robbery, Desmond Rashad Davis walked into Gadsden Police headquarters and turned himself in. Davis was wanted on an attempted murder warrant in connection with a November 7th shooting. A man was found shot in the head on the 1400 block of East View Avenue. The victim survived, and Davis was soon developed as a suspect. He's being held on $150,000 bond.
And on Friday, officers caught Nyheim Toney in the parking lot of Gadsden Regional Hospital. Officers were looking for him on an outstanding robbery warrant. He's also a suspect in a weekend shooting where a 16 year old boy was shot in the arm on East Broad Street. Toney is being held on $250,000 bond.
