LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office say the Livingston Parish man wanted on several charges, including aggravated rape, is now in custody.
The suspect, 26-year-old Dale N. Lachney was wanted for aggravated rape, felony theft, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated battery, attempted armed robbery and second degree kidnapping.
According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, the crimes happened Wednesday and Thursday in the Walker and Denham Springs areas of Livingston Parish.
The news of his capture came minutes after media outlets were informed the Sheriff's Office was searching for Lachney.
