ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A treasure trove of stolen goods uncovered in Marshall County Thursday morning, and Albertville Police are trying to reconnect the items with their owners.

A truck was reported stolen on Wednesday from an Albertville car lot.

An alert officer discovered the truck at a home.

When the officer looked into the truck he saw an AK-47, as well as several other firearms.

When detectives arrived to the home on Enterprise Drive early Thursday morning, they discovered more than 20 firearms, more than 100 knives, along with assorted tools and other stolen items.

A search of the home and around the home uncovered more stolen items, including drug paraphernalia.

Albertville Police said it's one of the largest finds of stolen goods in recent history.

They are cataloging the items and working with area law enforcement to see if owners have filed reports of missing merchandise so they can get the items returned to them.

"Right now, we've got three people in custody and a fourth one detained, and we're still in the process of recovering all what we believe to be several thousands of dollars worth of stolen property," said Assistant Chief Jamie Smith with the Albertville Police Department.

Smith it appears some of the merchandise has come out of Marshall County recently, and they are now in contact with the sheriff's department investigators.
