FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
Crews responded to the scene of a fire at a home on the corner of Hermitage Drive and Poplar in Florence.
Emergency crews received the call around 7:25 Wednesday morning.
Crews ran fans from the home to clear smoke from inside. Initial reports said the fire started in the basement.
A tenant of the building said that one of the downstairs residents called 911 and woke everyone up. Everyone, including pets, were able to get out safe.
It is unclear at this time what started the fire or how much damage the house sustained.
