EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Colt Ryan had 13 points and seven assists, Ned Cox had 11 points and Jaylon Moore chipped in 10 and Evansville used a first-half offensive explosion to cruise past Alabama A&M 72-46 on Monday night.
Evansville (4-2) shot 45.2 percent from the field to outscore the Bulldogs 38-21 in the first half.
The Purple Aces trailed 6-3 after Justan Banks tipped in a missed lay-up, but after Moore hit a lay-up of his own to give Evansville a 7-6 lead with 13:33 remaining in the first half, the Purple Aces went on a 31-15 run to close out the period and put the Bulldogs away early.
Evansville led by as many as 39 when Adam Wing scored a lay-up with 7:57 to play to give his team a 65-26 lead, completing a 58-20 run between the two halves.
Brandon Ellis scored 12 points and had seven rebounds to lead Alabama A&M (2-3).
