Court date set for man accused of shooting 2 lawmen

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The man accused of shooting two lawmen is headed back to court.

Joseph Shriver was charged with attempted murder.

He's accused of shooting a Fayetteville policeman and a Madison County deputy in November of 2011.

Shriver is scheduled for a preliminary hearing February 1.

It will be a delay of more than a year from the time his original preliminary hearing was scheduled back in January.
