BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
The lines
are drawn over the future of public education in Louisiana and it is all set to
play out in state district court this week.
Arguments
will begin Wednesday over the state's new private school voucher program.
Two teacher
unions are arguing the use of tax money to pay for private school tuition, online
course and home school is against the Louisiana Constitution.
On the
other side, Louisiana Superintendent of Education John White and BESE will
argue the program is legal and helps thousands of children receive a better
education than they would have in the state's public schools.
