BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

St. George Fire Department responded to a house fire on Winter Oak Avenue, near Highland Road and Pecue Lane. The fire caused significant damage to the home.

The fire originated in the attic around the area of the chimney

Everyone made it out of the house safely and the fire was under control within 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
