HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
While some shoppers head to the big chain
stores, others are choosing to shop at locally owned Mom and Pop stores for
Small Business Saturday.
The store director at the Star Market in Five
Points said people shouldn't shop locally just one day of the year, but daily.
He said the major benefits of shopping local is that the
money goes right back into the community.
"Seventy-five percent
of every dollar that you spend is going to stay in the community. It's going
into your schools, your roads, into the community."
Star Market had been up
and running in Huntsville since 1994.
