Some
serious shoppers hit stores early in Baton Rouge for Black Friday.
There was a
midnight rush at Macy's as bargain hunters hoped to snag some of the first
deals of the season.
Store
manager Stuart Bailey said all went smoothly.
It's the
second year the store opened at midnight.
However,
for many shoppers, it wasn't their first stop.
"We've
only been at this mall since, I guess we've been here about 45 minutes or
so," said one shopper. "We started out at 7:30 last
night."
"I've
been up since 8:00 last night shopping," said another shopper. "I
didn't plan on coming this early. I was actually forced."
One of the
longest lines some saw Friday morning was for new Air Jordan Retros released at
8 a.m.
