HAMPTON COVE, AL (WAFF) -
A fourth grade class at Hampton Cove Elementary won a school contest for collecting the most Dimes for the Deployed.
Their prize was a chance to speak with Colonel Karl Kraus in Iraq through a video conference.
They asked questions about the upcoming holiday and even about life overseas.
Together, the school raised over $700.
That money will go toward assembling care packages for deployed service men and women - just in time for the holidays.
