LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
The Limestone County Jail is growing.
Monday night, the county commission approved buying some land south of the jail on Wheeler Street.
They're still negotiating a price for the three-quarter acre plot.
Commissioners said the jail isn't overcrowded per-se, but they need more single cell units for inmates who need to be kept separate from other prisoners.
