GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
A Marshall County judge performed CPR on an inmate in court Tuesday, after the man collapsed.
Just before noon, 48-year-old Franklin Gary Carter of Grant, collapsed while appearing before Judge Tim Riley. Deputies transporting the inmate rushed to Carter's side. Riley performed CPR on the inmate until paramedics arrived.
Carter was taken to Huntsville Hospital. The reason for the collapse is unknown at this time.
Carter was appearing in court on an unlawful possession of controlled substance charge.
