MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Owens Cross Roads and New Hope Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a burning house on Old Highway 431 around 3:00 Tuesday morning.
The abandoned home sits on the highway just south of G. Carpenter Road.
Owens Cross Roads Volunteer Fire Chief said someone driving by saw the fire and called 911.
Fire crews closed Highway 431 until the fire was out.
