Dr. Alan Jenks has been using Applied Kinesiology to successfully help patients suffering from chronic pain. Today Dr. Al invites neck pain sufferers to come to his office to get a thorough exam to determine the cause of the pain and treatment options.
Maasdijk, The Netherlands (PRWEB) November 19, 2012
In the Netherlands it is estimated that about 5 million Dutch are living with chronic pain and two-thirds of our population will suffer from some type of acute or chronic back pain at some point of our lives.
Local Maasdijk chiropractic, Dr. Alan Jenks, is having success treating long suffering chronic back pain patients. “We're using Applied Kinesiology with Chiropractic to treat patients successfully. Usually neck pain sufferers in the Netherlands seek medical help from their doctor for the pain. According to a study in the fall of 2005 in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, medical and chiropractic care costs are about equal, but chiropractic care produces better results in treating chronic pain,” says Dr. Alan Jenks.
Usually people rely on over the counter medication to hopefully provide relief from their chronic pain. "This is not a very healthy or stable way of dealing with neck pain, in fact reliance on these kinds of drugs have negative side effects on your liver, kidneys, and stomach. Use of pain killers also prevent a healthy warning sign telling you there is something wrong. I see a lot of patients who prolong their recovery time by using over the counter medication to try and fix the problem. Instead of resting, they will get temporary pain relief from a pain killer and then further injure themselves because they have numbed the pain signals,” says Dr. Jenks.
