HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville city leaders held another public forum at the Richard Showers Center Sunday, where they heard what residents had to say about the project aimed at revamping John Hunt Park.
Many people came out to look at the plans, ask questions, and bring new ideas to the table. The current plan includes new activity centers, walking trails, bike paths, and playgrounds.
"We have had a lot of ideas. There are a lot of people just wanting to know information. They want to make sure we are not going to take out all of the soccer fields before you have new soccer fields up and that we are going to make sure to take care of everybody, said Tommy Battle, Huntsville mayor.
The final public hearing on the plan will be held Tuesday, November 20 at 5 p.m., during the planning commission meeting at city hall.
