Former senator injured in tractor accident

FT. PAYNE, AL (WAFF) -

Former Senator Lowell Barron was injured Saturday when his tractor rolled over in Fort Payne.

Officials said Barron was doing work at the North Pointe Apartments when the tractor he was driving rolled.

Barron was belted in at the time of the accident.

He was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition. He was upgraded to good condition on Sunday.

Barron served in Alabama's 8th district for 28 years.
