FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -
Florence Police have confirmed that escaped inmate Daniel Allen Davis is in custody.
Davis was taken into custody around 11 p.m. Friday night
He escaped from a Lauderdale County work release around 5:45 a.m. Friday. A second inmate, Raymond Gibson Jr. also escaped but turned himself in to authorities shortly after.
Davis was in work release on a burglary charge.
Officials said Davis was picked up in Lawrence County, Tennessee. He has been charged with escape first degree.
