MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Interstate 65 is open back up to two lanes of traffic southbound in South Morgan County.
Travel had been restricted to one lane all day as inmates worked to clean up debris from a late night crash.
A truck filled with glass bottles for recycling went off the interstate near the Lacon exit.
The driver had to be treated for minor injuries.
Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin said they plan to shut down one southbound lane of I-65, north of Lacon Saturday, to complete the cleanup. At some point, all four lanes of traffic may be shut down, depending on how the truck has to be extricated.
Drivers should avoid that portion of I-65 in Morgan County Saturday if possible.
