MUSCLE SHOALS, AL (WAFF) -
Some big changes are on the way for TVA land in northwest Alabama.
The TVA board has approved redevelopment plans for the 1,000 acres in Muscle Shoals.
Exactly what changes will be made to the land has not been determined.
TVA's economic development team said they will work with the Northwest Alabama Cooperative District to create opportunities for the site.
The current redevelopment plan includes property use for commercial, retail, and industrial purposes. It also calls for designated green space
Officials at TVA said they will hold public meetings after the first of the year to further discuss the development opportunities.
