COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Prosecutors filed charges against a man accused of shooting his brother.

Deputies arrested and booked the victim's brother, Eddie Murphy, and charged him with attempted murder on Thursday.

His bond is set at $50,000.

Eddie is accused of shooting his brother, Steve Murphy, multiple times at his home on Buddy Durham Road in Cherokee.

Investigators said the brothers got into an argument and when a woman tried to break it up, that's when shots were fired.

Both men were armed.

Steve was airlifted to a Tupelo Hospital.

The woman was grazed by a bullet but refused treatment.

Officials said Steve's condition is stable and improving.
