PONCHATOULA, LA (WAFB) -
A 38-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after police officers found drugs and a gun in his car after a car accident.
According to reports, Jason Leonard, was involved in a crash on Highway 51 North near Highway 22 West.
As police officers were doing an inventory record for the wrecker service, they say they found marijuana, marijuana seeds, drug paraphernalia, $4,200 in cash and a tactical rifle.
Leonard was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail for possession with intent to distribute schedule I, possession of a firearm while possessing a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
