HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Crews responded to the scene of a wreck where a car hit a fire hydrant Monday night.
Water was gushing out and flooding into a business on Airport Road near Queensbury Drive just before 8 p.m.
Witnesses said the vehicle left the roadway and hit the hydrant.
Water flooded the parking lot to Vision Masters and started in the business.
At one point, the car caught on fire, but firefighters quickly put it out.
Huntsville Utilities arrived on the scene to turn the water off.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
