DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
Ezekiel Gholston, one of the three people accused in the brutal Krystal double murder in Decatur, was scheduled to be in court on Thursday, but a judge postponed the hearing.
The 21-year-old is applying for youthful offender status before his case moves forward.
If it's granted, he won't be eligible for the death penalty.
He was 20 when prosecutors say he and Jordaan Creque shot and killed Jeff Graff and Jesse Aguilar.
Prosecutors are trying Creque, Gholston, and the alleged look out, Cassandra Eldred, separately.
In October, the DA's office announced they're seeking the death penalty for all three.
The hearing will take place sometime in December.
