Son arrested, charged with forgery

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A son was arrested after a man said two checks were stolen and forged.

The victim told Decatur Police that on September 9, two of his personal checks were stolen, forged and cashed.

Investigators developed the man's son, Dennis Brown, as a suspect.

On November 8, Brown led police on a short chase when they tried to stop him for an expired tag. He was stopped and apprehended.

Investigators questioned Brown about the stolen checks and subsequently charged him with two counts of forgery. His bond was set at $5,000.
